A Child Maintenance Application is a written request filed before the Family Court during an ongoing maintenance case seeking interim maintenance, enhancement of maintenance, recovery of unpaid maintenance, educational expenses, medical expenses, or other financial relief for a minor child.

Unlike a Child Maintenance Petition, which starts the case, an application is filed after proceedings have already begun and a specific Court order is required.
