An Inheritance Application is a written request filed before a Court or authority during an inheritance matter seeking a specific order relating to succession, legal heirship, transfer of inherited property, release of funds, mutation of land, production of records, or other relief connected with the estate of a deceased person.

Unlike an Inheritance Petition, which initiates inheritance proceedings, an application is usually filed after the main proceedings have already begun and a specific direction from the Court is required.

Application For Succession Certificate

One of the most common inheritance-related applications concerns financial assets left by the deceased.
